Day 1...

Headed to the gym a little later than anticipated this morning due to some schedule changes for Kim this week. But, finally got there and got started. My goal this morning was to see what kind of cardio I was going to be able to do comfortably. For the past several months I've been having a lot of pain in my right knee and currently can't bend it very far. So, I wasn't sure if riding a stationary or recumbent bike was a possibility. I got on the bike and although there was some discomfort it wasn't anything I couldn't manage. I then went to the elliptical trainer and well, let's just say that I won't be using that and if anyone had videod me on it they could be in the running for $10,ooo! Then I went to the treadmill, that will be my choice for cardio training for the time being.

A couple of things for me to remember: 1. This will not happen quickly. I have some long held bad habits that I need to break along with some self-control that I need to learn. I will not expect to lose more than a couple of pounds a week. 2. I'm committed to sticking with this. I have to be.

You can do it! I started walking this week too. I'm determined to get this weight off as well.
